The Kuwait Internal Medicine Residency Program was established in 1987. The program is the only formal training internal medicine program in Kuwait.

Our program is sponsored by Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations (KIMS). Residents rotate in several public hospitals in Kuwait as well several subspecialty hospitals.

We have assembled accomplished faculty members who are dedicated to this residency program. Our internal medicine residency curriculum is dynamic, as we are constantly striving to set higher level standard to meet the health care of our citizens.

Among our top priorities include meeting or exceeding all requirements of the residency review committee of The Royal College of Physicians And Surgeons Of Canada.
